FINRA Registered Principal Enforcement Action:
David Earl Tillson (CRD #1855094, Registered Principal, Carencro, Louisiana, formerly licensed with Cullen Investment Group, LTD.)from association with any FINRA member in any capacity for one year. The fine must be paid either immediately upon Tillson’s reassociation with a FINRA member firm following his suspension, or prior to the filing of any application or request for relief from any statutory disqualification, whichever is earlier. Without admitting or denying the findings, Tillson consented to the described sanctions and to the entry of findings that he failed to timely respond to FINRA requests for documents and information. The findings stated that Tillson recommended that an unemployed customer invest 91 percent of her liquid net worth in a highly speculative technology stock, which was inconsistent with her financial situation and with her investment objective of income. The suspension is in effect from February 22, 2011, through February 21, 2012. (FINRA Case #2009020801801).
